Return to Work

Re-enroll in Benefits

Within 31 days of your return to work, you'll need to restart benefits you chose not to continue during your leave.

If your leave was less than 120 days, you may re-enroll yourself (and your eligible family members) in the same plans, with the same coverage levels as before.

After a longer leave, you may enroll in any LLNS-sponsored plans for which you're eligible.

If you are off work due to pregnancy or an illness for five or more consecutive work days (or an equivalent time period for those individuals on an alternative work schedule) or had an illness of any duration requiring hospitalization or surgery, you must be cleared to return to work by LLNS Health Services before returning to your worksite.

Contact the Benefits Office at 925-422-9955 to ensure that your benefits are active and you have completed all necessary enrollments based on your qualifying events.

Returning To Work Options

  • Part-time
  • Telecommuting
  • Job Sharing
  • Flexible Hours
  • Alternative Work Schedules
  • Personal Leave of Absence
