The 23rd annual San Joaquin Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Conference has been set for Saturday, Oct. 10, at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. Registration will open Aug. 1 and is limited to the first 550 registrants.
This popular daylong event is held for girls, grades 6-12, to increase interest in and foster awareness of careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Attendees will participate in a variety of hands-on workshops at the conference, providing them opportunities to meet and interact with positive role models who are actively engaged in STEM-related careers.
For more information about the conference, to volunteer and to register online, go to the EYH website. For specific questions, info [at] sjeyh.org (email) or call 209-946-3239.
Local organizations or businesses interested in donating or participating may contact the San Joaquin EYH by email.
The San Joaquin EYH conference is co-sponsored by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories/California and the University of the Pacific School of Engineering and Computer Science. Chevron also provides support.
