Lab's Community Working Group to discuss cleanup efforts

The general public is invited to attend the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Community Working Group, Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the LLNL Press Room, Trailer 6575. The press room is located off of Greenville Road at the east entrance to LLNL. Directional signage will be posted on Greenville Road.

Community Working Group meetings, hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration and the Laboratory, are held periodically to discuss ongoing cleanup of historic groundwater contamination at the Laboratory's Livermore site.

The Livermore site was added to the Comprehensive Environmental Remediation Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) National Priorities (Superfund) List in 1987. Current and proposed remediation/cleanup efforts will be discussed as part of the Community Working Group meeting agenda. For more information, contact Scott Wilson at 925-423-3125.
