- to gather information from representative staff regarding criteria the committee should consider when evaluating candidates during the search process and interviews.
The search committee will speak to four focus groups representing a cross-section of disciplines and functions at the Laboratory. The focus groups will be composed of science, engineering, and technical staff; functional representatives; professional and administrative staff; and senior managers. The committee also will speak to the Laboratory director and to the Department of Energy Livermore Site Office manager.
While the committee will be able to speak only to a small number of Laboratory staff, employee opinions are important to them. After Aug. 19, the search committee and its screening task force will review and carefully consider all applications, nominations, and comments received by the deadline.
