Abilities Champions Internship

The paid internship program aims to build and maintain a workforce that cultivates the talents of those with developmental and neurocognitive differences. The paid internship program is primarily facilitated by the California Regional Center and has involved collaborative efforts between Lawrence Livermore’s Abilities Champions employee resource group, the Orion Academy, UC Davis, Stanford University, Landmark College and more. These internships provide opportunities for neurodivergent individuals to explore career paths with us while continuing their educational growth.

The primary sources of funding and support are provided through a California Regional Center. For these opportunities, you must be eligible for funding through a California Regional Center (eligibility may differ for different regional centers). You also must be enrolled at an accredited college during the internship. Other opportunities may become available, so individuals ineligible for support from a California Regional Center may still apply.
