Tom Maxwell

Tom Maxwell died March 30. He was 63. 

Maxwell was born Oct. 6, 1951. He grew up in Santa Maria, California, where he gained a love for “off-roading” on the local beaches.

After high school, he joined the Navy where he learned what would become a life long career supporting computer systems. After the Navy, he attended Skyline College in Millbrae, advancing his computer skills, which led him to a job at United Airlines.

Maxwell joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 1983 where he worked for the next 31 years. During that time, he supported systems across most of the directorates and is remembered for his good nature, detailed stories and love of dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Terrisa and his “furry buddy," Ewok.
