Robert Dean Rae Sr.

Robert Dean Rae Sr., an Oakdale resident of more than 30 years, died March 25 after a long 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

He was born April 16, 1934, to Eva and J.C. Arch, in Boyant, Oklahoma. He moved to California where he met his wife, Myrna Joy Rae. They were married 63 years and had two children, Robert Dean Rae Jr., and Pamela Jean Rae (Courtney). He was a hard-working man who retired from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In his free time, Rae enjoyed hobbies that included fishing, hunting and camping.

He is survived by three grandsons, Ronnie Courtney, Bobby Rae and Cory Courtney; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
