Patrick J. Kearns

Patrick J. Kearns died Nov. 5. He was 83.

Kearns was born June 17, 1938, in Teaneck, New Jersey to Patrick and Margaret Kearns. His family moved to California in 1947. He attended St. Mary's in Berkeley. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960. He spent his entire career at Lawrence Livermore National Lab. He retired in 1996 but returned as a full-time consultant until 2007.

His surviving family include his wife Rochelle, daughter Denise, two sisters, Kathleen Leon (George), and Margaret Eisinger, and brother-in-law Rod Latta (Terry). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two daughters, Michelle Ana and Lisa Marie.

Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oakdale on Dec. 7, at 11:00 a.m. The family will have a private internment service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, 1225 Olive Street, Oakdale, 95361 in his memory or a charity of your choice.
