Marvin Roger Foster

Marvin Roger Foster died Nov. 22. He was 87.

Foster was born Feb. 19, 1934, in Fort Collins Colorado to Orville and Dorothy (Munn) Foster. He graduated in 1952 from Tracy High School and played basketball, track and then went to Delta College where his team won the state championship in 1954. After graduating from Tracy High School then was employed by the Tracy Press, worked for his parents at The Freeze, drove a bread truck for 10 years and then retired after 30 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Site 300. 

He was preceded in death by his oldest son Marvin Roger Foster, Jr.and leaves three loving sons and their families, Dr. Michael D and Carrie (Whitney) Foster, Mark A and Aimee (Zerr) Foster and Mathew and Debra (Dixon) Foster. Together he and Lorraine have five granddaughters and seven grandsons, and the great grandkids number is still rising at 25 with two on the way. 

Services were held Friday December 3.
