Harry Bowers

Harry Bowers passed away on June 7 after a short illness. He was 68.

Bowers was born into a Navy family in Newport, New Jersey on Jan. 5, 1950. In his early years, he lived in a variety of different naval bases across the country.  After graduating high school, he joined the Navy where he worked as an aviation electrician. Completing his enlistment, Bowers worked as an electrician for various companies prior to starting his career at LLNL as a contract employee in 1982.  

Bowers supported projects at both Site 300 and the Livermore site.  

He will always be remembered for his quiet demeanor, wry sense of humor, quick wit and keen insight.  

He is survived by his wife, Youyan Bowers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday June 21, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1501 Hillcrest Ave., Livermore.
