William R. Wade

William R. Wade of Pleasant Hill died Feb. 25. He was 90.

Wade was born Nov. 7, 1923, in Bronx, N.Y.  He came to the Bay Area with the Navy during World War II and met his wife Elizabeth Brennan. They married Dec. 1, 1945.

Wade had a long and successful career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, retiring in 1986. After many happy years together in both Pleasant Hill and Berkeley raising children, enjoying grandchildren and pursuing their love of good food and wine, his wife, Elizabeth, passed away in October 2008. Wade returned to Pleasant Hill in 2012 and lived with his son and daughter-in-law.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 199 Brandon Road, Pleasant Hill, Calif. 94523. The service is a celebration of life and therefore attendees are asked not to wear black.
