Wilfredo (Willy) P. Arcebal

Wilfredo (Willy) P. Arcebal, died May 28. He was 59.

Born to Maria Pascua and the late Quiterio Arcebal on Oct. 12, 1950, in Sampaloc Manila, Philippines, he arrived in the United States in 1959 and resided in Vallejo, Calif., with Maria and Claro Somera.

He graduated from Vallejo Senior High School in 1970. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant in 1980.

He worked at the Lab in mail services during the 1980s.

Arcebal was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Vallejo and enjoyed bible study group sessions. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed family functions and watching the Lakers win.

He is survived by his mother, Maria; three children, Lil Willy, Mary and Jacob; grandchildren, Angel, Marychris, Eli and Lyric; sisters, Edna, Eleanor, Joyce, Ellen and Earlene; one brother, Kenneth; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by Quiterio Arcebal, Claro Somera and Claro Jr.

A mass will be held at 10 a.m. today (June 4) at the St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Vallejo, followed by burial at All Souls Cemetery in Vallejo.
