Steven 'Steve' Michael Del Grande

Steven 'Steve' Michael Del Grande died April 11. He was 60.

Del Grande joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in June of 2021 as a senior mechanical technologist with the Defense Technology Engineering Division. He was assigned to the Nuclear Material Engineering Group within the Nuclear Material Technology program. He supported Strategic Deterrence and Weapons Technology programs.

He is survived by his mother, Colleen Ann Whitney, son, David Del Grande, grandsons, Clayton and Chance, brother, Chris Del Grande, sisters, Deanna Broussard and Tara Del Grande, step-mother, Kathy Del Grande, and beloved dog, Tessie. He was preceded in death by his father, David Michael Frank Del Grande.

A funeral service will be held May 4, at 11 a.m., at Foxworthy Baptist Church, 1774 Foxworthy Ave. San Jose. A celebration of life picnic will be held following the funeral service at 12:30 p.m., at Almaden Lake Park, south point picnic area, 5949 Winfield Blvd. San Jose.
