Steve Joe Anglin died June 16. He was 61.

Anglin was born on Dec. 22, 1957 to Jim and Joann Anglin in Hayward, California. The family later moved to Livermore where he attended Granada High School and met the love of his life, Ann Van Dyke, at the age of 15. They married in 1982, made their home in Manteca in 1984. His two daughters were the focus of his life, Amy (Jason) Wright and Sara (Ryan) Carter. His heart belonged to his only granddaughter, Jaylynn Wright.

He worked construction and was employed at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory for 15 years as a laborer. He was a personal softball coach and cheerleader for his daughter and granddaughter and a diehard fan of baseball, football and horses.

Anglin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dennis. He is survived by his sisters Glenda (Jack) Williamson and Brenda (Robin) Dobson, and his "brother/cousin" Jon Anglin, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Kentucky Derby themed Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
