Stephen Chin

Stephen Chin, long-time resident of Livermore, died June 10. He was 85.

Chin was born Dec. 7, 1931 in San Francisco, one of 13 children. He was employed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) for many years before his retirement. He developed many wonderful friendships with his fellow colleagues at LLNL. His wife Arlene Honebein Chin, who he met at the Lab, survives him. They enjoyed many happy married years and traveled extensively around the world.

Chin is survived by his many brothers and sisters, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces and two great-grand nephews and one great-grand niece, who will all miss him dearly.

In keeping with Chin’s wishes, there was no funeral service. Family and friends who want to make a memorial donation may do so to a charity of their choice.
