Stan Trettenero

Stan Trettenero of Livermore died Dec. 5. He was 68.

Trettenero was raised in El Sobrante, Calif. and attended DeAnze High School, graduating in 1963. After high school, he worked for Ortho, Standard Oil and worked on the BART Ashby Station. He later attended the Colorado School of Trades where he earned his Gunsmithing degree. He worked for Armanino Gun Shop in South San Francisco. In 1982 he joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as a mechanical technologist. He worked at LLNL for 23, years retiring in 2005.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, showing and driving his Corvettes and vacationing in Jamaica. He was an extraordinary man and a loving husband who always supported his family and friends.

 

Trettenero is survived by his wife of 38-years, Judy, along with his sister Sharon (Mel) Gregonis and sister-in-law Linda (Dennis) Homer. He also is survived by nephews David and Mike Gregonis and Derrick Homer and their families.

Services are being held at Callaghan Mortuary in Livermore, on Thursday, Dec. 12. A viewing is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Association.
