Shirley Baak

Shirley Mae Baak a longtime resident of Livermore, died April 20 in Cupertino after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 80.

Baak and her husband, Herbert Baak, lived in Livermore from 1965 to 1984 and both worked at LLNL — Herbert as an engineer, and Shirley as an accountant.

They were members of Our Savior Lutheran Church and early members of the Del Valle Dog Club.

Baak is survived by her three children, Arlene Watson and her husband, Tom, of San Jose; Pamela Baak of Manteca; and Kenneth Baak and his wife, Barbara of Ceres.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Baak in 1991.

Services were held April 29 in Cupertino, where Baak had lived for the past nine years. Interment will be in her hometown of Oshkosh, Wis.
