Raylene Cooper

Raylene Cooper, a former Tracy resident died March 28 in French Camp. She was 64.

Cooper was born in Lindsey, Calif. to Ruby and William Simpson. She was a resident of Manteca for the past 20 years and previously of Tracy for 10 years. She worked at the Lab for 14 years.

She loved to travel with her husband in their RV and enjoyed fishing and traveling to antique shows. She also was an exotic animal lover and enjoyed yard sales and flea markets, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Johnny Cooper of Manteca; children, John D. Cooper, and his wife, Lourdes, of Manteca; Ricky A. Simpson of Tracy and Cynthia L. Hooe of Stockton; sister, Rosa Lea Wittwer, and her husband, Barney, of Oregon; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services were held this week in Manteca. Donations in Cooper’s name may be sent to a local animal shelter.
