Phyllis Logsdon

Phyllis Marie Logsdon of Apple Valley died Sept. 9 from cancer. She was 79.

Born May 26, 1931, in Chickasha, Okla., she retired from the Lab, where she was an executive secretary.

In Apple Valley, she was an active member of The Sisterhood of PEO, Victor Valley Concert Association, and the First Baptist Church, Hesperia, where she sang in the choir. She played bridge, piano and was actively involved with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan Gillespie and husband Doug Gillespie of Apple Valley, daughter, Kathy Hubbell of Noble, Okla., six stepchildren, grandson, Jason Hoehn of Apple Valley, grandson, Ryan Hubbell and granddaughter Brittney Hubbell both of Noble, Okla. and seven step- grandchildren. She was great grandmother to Tommy Hubbell of Noble, Okla. and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 19.
