Perry K. Lovell

Perry K. Lovell died in his sleep Aug. 21. He was 81.

Lovell was born April 3, 1928, to John Hyrum and Velda Perry Lovell. He grew up in Ririe, Idaho.

Lovell spent his professional years as a health physicist for LLNL and Sandia National Laboratories, and later as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy.

He enjoyed his retirement in Boise, Idaho. He and his wife served as missionaries in the Vancouver British Columbia Mission, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Larene; his children, Russell Lovell, David Lovell, Greg Lovell, Leslie Blau, Lori Call, Lisa Gulick, Laurel Lovell and Ken Madsen; 29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gail Richins; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Lovell and Tashina Blau.

Funeral services were held Aug. 26, in Layton, Utah; graveside services followed at Ririe, Idaho.
