Paul Hatch

Paul Edward Hatch of Manteca died Dec. 14 following a short illness. He was 61.

Hatch was a much loved and loving husband and father. At his bedside were his wife of 42 years Darlene Hatch; daughter Jessica Hatch; granddaughter Aleesha Sanchez and lifelong friend, Michael Goodney.

Hatch was born May 12, 1952, in Winthrop, Mass. He grew up in Livermore and graduated from Del Valle High School. After graduating from high school in 1971 he married his high school sweetheart. He entered military service in 1972 and served with pride on board the USS Kitty Hawk until 1976.

After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Hatch worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory until his retirement in 2007.

Hatch was an avid golfer and enjoyed many years as a member of the Tracy Golf and Country Club.

Hatch is preceded in death by his father, Roland Hatch; mother, Gertrude Governor; and his brothers, John and Mark Hatch.

Hatch is survived by his wife Darlene Hatch of Manteca, Calif.; daughter Jessica of New Mexico and son Jason of Nevada. He also is survived by three grandchildren, Aleesha Sanchez of New Mexico, Jason Hatch Jr. and Natalia Hatch of Nevada and numerous nieces and nephews.
