Neil Lascurettes

Neil Warner Lascurettes, a resident of Livermore, died May 24 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 79.

Lascurettes was born Jan. 8, 1931. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in engineering and then received an MBA from San Francisco State University.

Lascurettes served as the director of internal auditing at the Lab for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his brother, Bill Lascurettes; nephew,s David Lascurettes of Canyon and John Lascurettes of Portland, Ore.; grand-nephew, Jett; and grand-nieces, Quinn and Logan.

He is also is survived by his loving companion Nancy Walton of Walnut Creek, as well as many cousins and friends.

A memorial service was held June 2 in Walnut Creek, with a private inurnment.
