Lorene J. Inslee

Lorene J. Inslee, of Cleveland, Tenn., died Dec. 27, 2013. She was 76.

Inslee was born in San Jose, Calif. on Aug. 17, 1937 to the late Cirl and France Ribsi. She was of Catholic faith and a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. She attended San Jose State University and went on to work for more than 20 years at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Fifteen of those years were as an administrative assistant in the weapons design department.

She loved to travel and made Cleveland her home a couple of times in her life, most recently for 10 years. Her love of travel took her many places, including Paris while her husband attended school there. In her later years, Inslee and her husband took up cruise travel and as a result they visited many places over the past couple of years.

She is survived by her husband and travel partner of 52 years, Gene L. Inslee, and numerous other extended family members, church family and special friends.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. at the St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Cleveland, located at 900 Clingan Ridge Drive. Gene Inslee will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 30 in the parlor of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road from 5-7 p.m.
