Lee C. Simpson

Lee C. Simpson, a longtime Livermore resident, died on Oct. 24. He was 83.

Born July 11, 1928, in Oakland, Calif., he married Rita Kohles of Oakland in 1948. They moved to Livermore in 1952, where they raised five children. Simpson worked at the Laboratory for 25 years before retiring and beginning a full-time career as a local Realtor.

Simpson is preceded in death by Rita, his wife of 57 years.

He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Corrigan of Oakland; Ethel Leone of Sacramento; his children, Stephanie Falgout of Livermore; Drs. Lorri and Cameron McCune of Rancho Mirage; Debora Simpson of Sacramento; Steve Simpson of Livermore; Dean and Cristina Simpson of Livermore; and his grandchildren, Jeanine Henderson, Michael Young, Matt Young, Delaney McCune, Ryan Tatman, Jaime O'Halloran, Jenna Simpson, Christine Simpson; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Henderson, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a rosary at Graham-Hitch Mortuary in Pleasanton on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of his life at the Keeley Center. A private burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
