Larry Ronald Nunley

Larry Ronald Nunley Sr., a Lab retiree, died Jan. 20 at the Hospice of San Joaquin in Stockton. He was 75.

Born in Tracy, Calif., he graduated from Tracy High school where he played football. He lived his entire life in Tracy. He worked at the Lab in the transportation department.

He enjoyed watching football, traveling and spending time with his family.

Nunley is survived by his wife of nine years, Johanna; son, Ron Nunley and wife, Robin, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Andrew Quartucy of Temecula; Brad West and Sarah Naasko of Tracy; Grant and Vanessa Nunely of Houston, Texas; step-grandchildren, Tony and Jessica Quartucy of Los Angeles; stepson, Eric Costa and wife, Mary Jo, of Stockton; stepdaughters, Suzanne Cardini and husband, Milo, of Manteca; and Leanne Staas and husband, Rick, of Tracy; 10 step-grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tonni; his daughters, Susan and Cathy; stepson, Greg Costa and his parents, Oscar and Alice Nunley.

A memorial service was held in Tracy. Graveside services were held at Tracy Cemetery and a celebration of Nunley’s life was attended by family and friends at the Tracy Inn following the memorial service.
