Ida May Hudson

Ida May Hudson, a resident of Napa, died Sept. 12. She was 80.

Born April 18, 1929, to Joseph Luke and Hazel Alice Davis in Eldora, Iowa, the family moved to California.

She met her husband while working at the Lab. She was later employed by Moore Business Forms in Oakland, where she was the credit collections manager, retiring after 13 years.

She was a family person, close to her parents and her brother and especially, her sisters.

She was happiest when her children were with her. She was a strong woman, determined not to let her disabilities stop her from enjoying her life.

She was a loving mother and step-mother of five children; Gary Everett McElroy of Dayton, Nev.; Ronald Gene McElroy of Port Townsend, Wash.; John Wayne Hudson of Oakland, Calif..; Becky Lynn Brown of Healdsburg, Calif.; and Mark Alan Hudson of San Jose, Calif.

A large family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survives her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Henry Wayne Hudson; her brother Donald Davis; and her sisters Marjorie (Margo) Maxon; Carol Jean “CJ” Walle, and Mary Barnes.
