Frank Lego

Frank Peter Lego, a resident of Livermore for 42 years, died Dec. 29. He was 77.

Lego was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. At 14, he moved with his family to Los Angeles. He was an Army veteran and was drafted while still a Canadian citizen, receiving his U.S. citizenship after his Army discharge. He worked for 24 years at the Lab as a metal spinner.

He loved sports, especially the San Francisco Giants and the 49ers. He enjoyed coaching his children in little league and soccer. When he was not coaching, he was often on the sidelines watching his children, and later his grandchildren play sports.
