Frank E. Green

Frank Green, a Lab retiree and longtime resident of Livermore, died March 25 in Pleasanton. He was 80.

Born Oct. 24, 1931 in El Reno, Okla. he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant and in the 1st Marine Division Regiment, 3rd Battalion Weapons. While serving in Korea he received a Purple Heart.

Green was an engineer at the Lab for 36 years.

He enjoyed traveling with his family, golfing, fishing and completing the family genealogy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry, who died in 2010.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara; and children, Daniel and Linda of Livermore.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at Callaghan Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at noon at Callaghan Mortuary. Following the service, burial with military honors will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Livermore.
