Eric Raymond Kristofferson

Eric Raymond Kristofferson, resident of San Jose, died Nov. 3. He was 70.

Kristofferson was born to Alf and Ernestine Kristofferson Nov. 13, 1946 in San Francisco. He grew up in San Leandro, attending San Leandro High School. He obtained a master's in library science from San Jose State.

Kristofferson worked as a librarian at Cupertino and Morgan Hill libraries (Santa Clara County Library), United Technologies Chemical Systems, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Pilkington Barnes Hind, Ventritex and St. Jude Medical. He was active in the Special Library Association, San Andreas Chapter for many years.

Kristofferson enjoyed reading, travel and photography. He was an enthusiastic follower of professional and collegiate sports. His Norwegian heritage was reflected in his dry sense of humor and by his thoughtful, low-key approach to life.

He is survived by Charlotte Doudell, his companion of many years, and many friends. In keeping with Kristofferson 's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
