Edward Charles Ambrose

Edward Charles Ambrose, a Lab retiree, died. Jan. 10. He was 78.

Ambrose was born in Oakland and grew up in Albany, among many Italian relatives. He lived in Livermore 50 years. He worked at the Laboratory from 1959 to 1991.

Some of his favorite pastimes included golf, bowling (with a 300 game) and most of all, photography. For many years he developed his own pictures.

Ambrose also was a member of SIRs Branch 155 for many years, serving as secretary and treasurer. He was awarded an Honorary Life Member pin for his service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Camille Ambrose; sister, Marilyn (Toots) Guasco (Arnold); and brother, Don Ambrose.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Elaine; stepdaughters, BJ and Mary; stepson, Karl; and grandchildren, Tyler, Michael and Kiah.

Services have been held.
