Doralee Marie Cardoza

Doralee Marie Cardoza, a lifetime resident of Livermore, died June 27. She was 75.

Born Feb. 18, 1935, she attended Fifth Street Elementary School and graduated from Livermore High School in 1952. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Cardoza worked as an usher at The Vine Theatre in Livermore and as a telephone operator at LLNL. She most recently was a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Pleasanton.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, fishing, creating silk floral arrangements as well as jewelry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, who died in 2006. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Venita, and brothers, Phil and Bob Sanders.

She is survived by her son, Paul “Joey” Cardoza of Chester, Calif., daughter, Janet (JJ) Miller of Manteca; and son, Glen Cardoza of Livermore.

She also is survived by her sister, Jean Robinson of Sutherlin, Ore., sister-in-law, Carol Murray of Livermore, brother-in-law, Russell Cardoza of Oakdale, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held July 6 in Livermore. Donations may be made in Cardoza’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
