Deborah "Debbie" Browning

Deborah (Debbie) Dee Browning of Manteca died April 10. She was 59.

Browning was born Feb. 12, 1955, in Idaho Falls. She grew up in Idaho Falls and was a resident of Manteca, Calif., for the past 36 years.

Browning worked as an administrator for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and retired after working there for 10 years.

Following her retirement, Browning found her true calling in life as a charity organizer and volunteer. For the past 12 years, she has led many successful events with multiple charities. Some of her most instrumental organizations were Manteca-CVB, Chamber of Commerce, Delta Blood Bank, Agape Villages, St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Relay for Life.

Browning had a love for people as she was always willing to lend a helping hand regardless of the situation. Her tendency to go “above and beyond” never went unnoticed, as she continually gave 110 percent to everything she set forth doing. She enjoyed nature and was at perfect peace when visiting Monterey Bay, hiking, camping or gardening. She was an incredible cook and loved serving others. She loved the beauty of birds, especially the lightness and grace of the hummingbird.

Browning is predeceased by her sister, Barbara Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Donald Browning; children, Melinda and Anthony Browning; grandson, Tejas Browning; parents, Richard D. Taylor and Jerralyn Clark; brothers, Frank, Clyde, Ron, Dale, Scott and Steve Taylor; and sisters, Linda Waters and Sandy Terry.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Ave., Idaho Falls, for family and close friends. Please use the west entrance of the building.
