David Carleton Rogers

David Carleton Rogers of Stockton died Dec. 21. He was 70.

Rogers was born in Augusta, Maine. In his early years, he had a wide range of interests, from being a male cheerleader in high school to harness racing of trotting horses. He married his high school sweetheart, Shari, and together they raised two children, Darrin and Jayna.

Wanting to be where the action was, Rogers was heavily involved in his children’s sports activities, thanks to which he made manylife-long family friends. He was always willing to stop and talk with family, friends and strangers alike.

Rogers ran a local family antique shop after his retirement from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. When not running the antique shop or busy with his family, he watched sports on television. He loved all sports.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. at Frisbie-Warren and Carroll Mortuary.

Visitation will be today (Dec. 29), 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
