Dave Pehrson

David (Dave) L. Pehrson, a former Laboratory Association Director for Engineering, died March 19 after a long struggle from a severe stroke suffered nearly 11 years ago.  He was 71.

Born Sept. 5, 1940, he was a resident of Livermore since 1965.  Pehrson worked at LLNL for 36 years in research, engineering and senior administration. He was an electrical engineering graduate of Berkeley and NYU.

Fly fishing, HAM radio, gardening, woodworking and community service were his favorite interests and he was an active member of Cedar Grove Community Church and Livermore Rotary.

Pehrson is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Petey. 

He is survived by his son, Terry Pehrson; daughters Wendy Holt and Johanna Campbell; four grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Pehrson.

A visitation will be held Sunday, March 25, from 2-5 p.m. at the chapel of Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 First St., Pleasanton.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 26 at the Valley Community Church, 4455 Del Valle Parkway, Pleasanton.

 

A private burial service will be held the morning of March 26 at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
