Barbara Lee Bascom

Barbara Lee Bascom died March 2. She was 92.

Bascom was born to Thelma and Robert Pedro in Redwood City, California on June 3, 1931. She graduated from Heald Business College, attended San Jose State University, and earned a paralegal certification from Saint Mary’s College. She was employed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as a secretary in the engineering department. When her children were older, she returned to work part-time at LLNL as a secretary, and substitute teacher for the Livermore School District.

She is survived by her children Hollis Bascom (Deanna), Sabrina Bascom (Mike Greci) and Allison Murphy (Pat). Grandchildren – Shawn Murphy (Becky), Erin Tenca (Joe), Jason Kritikos (Trisha), Monique Straub (Chris), Jennifer Bascom, Chris Crossley (Renee) and Zachary Bascom.  Michael Greci (Esther) and Dominic Greci (Shannon). She is preceded in death by her youngest son, Grant Karl Bascom.
