Andrew “Andy” Lee Jorgensen

Andrew “Andy” Lee Jorgensen passed away on February 3, 2024. He was 93.

In 1955, Andy Jorgensen joined the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory and met his future wife Mar. Schedules put them together at the Nevada nuclear test site. Andy Jorgensen retired early from the lab to help his wife, who passed away in 1993 from multiple sclerosis. He then leaned into helping at Trinity Baptist Church in Livermore, where he attended for 60 years. He also volunteered at Shepherd’s Gate, helping the women out with car maintenance and financial assistance.
