Albert Hahn Jr.

Albert Hahn Jr., a resident of Livermore and a Lab retiree, died Feb. 10. He was 96.

Born in September 1923, in Minnesota, he was raised in New Florence, Mo.

He served in the Navy during World War II and in Korea. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He retired from LNLL after 29 years.

He was a life member of the American Legion Post #47 and District 10, where he held many offices.

His hobbies included fishing, traveling and playing pool.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sherley Hahn.

He is survived by his three children, Sharida and Stuart King of Marysville, Wash.; Bill and Bonnie Hahn of Livermore; Gayle and Dale Montague of Camdenton, Mo., eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1020 Mocho St., Livermore.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Hahn’s name to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Vitas Hospice.
