Adolph T. Sisneroz

Adolph T. Sisneroz of Discovery Bay died Nov. 22. He was 81.

Sisneroz was born Jan. 28, 1932 in La Salle, Colo., to Adolfo and Ascencion Sisneroz.

He graduated from Washington Union High School in Fremont and joined the U.S. Marines at age 17. During his service he married the love of his life, Rosie Hernandez. They had four sons and lived in Pleasanton until moving to Discovery Bay in 1989. He and his wife have been married for 61 years.

After the service, Sisneroz became a cabinet maker, eventually starting his own business in 1965, Adolph's Cabinets, in Pleasanton. In 1975 he went to work for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a carpenter and eventually became project manager until his retirement in 1993.

He was a humble man who affected the lives of many people. He was always on the side of the under-represented and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Sisneroz was preceded in death by his parents Adolfo and Ascencion Sisneroz. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosie; four sons, Dan (Pam), Wayne (Angela), Sam (Kelly) and Mark (Yvette); 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Sisneroz was remembered at a Mass on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 500 Fairview Avenue, Brentwood, Calif., followed by internment at Union Cemetery also in Brentwood at 1145 Brentwood Boulevard.
