Tri-Valley 'Expanding Your Horizons' conference returns this weekend at Diablo Valley College

Who: More than 300 girls in grades 6-9 will gather to meet scientists and engineers and explore careers in math and science at the 39th annual Tri-Valley Expanding Your Horizons Conference.

What: The Tri-Valley Expanding Your Horizons Conference is an annual event geared to increase interest and foster awareness of careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to provide opportunities to meet and interact with positive role models who are actively engaged in STEM-related careers. This year’s theme is "Trailblazing Your Future." At the conference, girls will participate in two hands-on workshops, a special group activity, eat lunch with the presenters and attend a career fair/science expo.

When: Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Where: Diablo Valley College San Ramon Campus, 1690 Watermill Road, San Ramon.
