The LLNL In Vivo Measurement facility provides analysis of radioactivity in the whole body and specific organs.
The Whole Body Counter/Spectroscopy Laboratory Team has an extensive set of phantoms for loan. See our list of phantoms under Calibration and Phantom Materials.
The Whole Body Counter/Spectroscopy Laboratory Team maintains an extensive number of low background alpha spectroscopy chambers.
The Whole Body Counter/Spectroscopy Laboratory Team maintains gamma spectroscopy sourceless calibration capabilities for bioassay samples, field samples, and in situ field measurements.
What We Do
The Whole Body Counter Team provides quality services for the in vivo analysis of radioactivity in the whole body and specific organs.
We also provide spectroscopy services for the analysis of in-vitro and special samples.
We perform these activities in support of the Health & Safety Program for employees and the Health Physics Program as part of the Analytical Services and Instrumentation Section within the ES&H Directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Request Our Help
We are available to help with calibration of in vivo measurement systems and offer loans of phantom organs.
