#ShutdownSTEM an opportunity to reflect on ending racism

We are all still trying to process our way through recent, horrific examples of racial bias. Many opportunities to reflect on how these events are affecting us and shaping our future are in front of us. One such event is occurring today, June 10.

Many scientists and engineers will participate in #ShutDownSTEM, a grassroots effort to better support black colleagues in academia and STEM. Participation in this event and others like it is a matter of personal choice, but the Lab fully appreciates the need to better understand the issues and drive toward introspective and purposeful action.
