Livermore's Talent Competition returns

Last year's "Livermore's Got Talent" program was a great hit, selling out the Bankhead Theater, and it's time again to watch young and hidden talents take the stage. Once again, the top winners in each age category — youth (17 and under) and adults (18 and over) — will take home $2,500.

The competition is presented by the Rotary clubs of Livermore: Livermore Rotary and Livermore Valley Rotary.

This year, the semi-finals at Livermore's Bankhead Theater will be open to the public in front of judges who are professional performers. The finals also will be at the Bankhead.

Each contestant is required to submit an audition video or a link to a YouTube video clip. The acts can be four minutes. All of the submitted videos will be reviewed and the first round winners will compete in the semi-finals on Jan. 9. The winners of these semi-finals will move on to the finals to be held Sunday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m.

Information and applications are available on the Livermore Talent Competition Website. Applications must be received by Dec. 11.
