For its ongoing efforts to raise money for local charities through the Helping Others More Effectively (HOME) Campaign, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory received the Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy Award for 2016.

The East Bay Leadership Council presented the award to the Lab on Thursday, during a special ceremony at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville. Cindy McAneney, executive director of the Lawrence Livermore National Security corporate office, and Lynda Seaver, director of Public Affairs at the Lab, accepted the award.

"Through the efforts of our employees, the HOME Campaign, or Helping Others More Effectively, has become one of the most important charitable drives in the region," Seaver said.
