Oakland Mayor Jean Quan To speak at Livermore Lab

WHO:
Oakland Mayor Jean Quan will visit the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in recognition of Women's History Month.

WHAT: Quan, who in 2010 became the first woman and the first Asian American to be elected mayor of Oakland, was born and raised in Livermore. During her visit she will give a presentation to employees based on this year's Women's History Month theme, "Our History Is Our Strength."

WHEN: Wednesday, March 9, 2011, noon

WHERE: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Bldg. 123 auditorium
