In conjunction with the March Women's History Month celebration, the U.S. Department of Energy is highlighting women scientists and engineers, including a number from LLNL.

In a website feature, called "Women @ Energy: Innovators in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)," DOE is presenting short profiles about women who work in these fields to help the department achieve its missions.

Among the LLNL researchers highlighted so far are Dawn Shaughnessy, Robin Goldstone, Debra Callahan, Rea Simpson, Trish Damkroger, Hye-Sook Park, Eileen Vergino, Kelley Herndon-Ford and Maya Gokhale (who recently was named a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at the Laboratory).

One of the goals of the Website feature is to show young women who are considering their educational and careers options the breadth of opportunities in STEM at the DOE national laboratories.

The profiles of the LLNL scientists and engineers and those from other DOE laboratories can be found on the DOE Website .
