Who: Robert Gallucci, an American ambassador and diplomat, will share insight and new perspectives on nuclear weapons as a re-emerging global concern in a Rae Dorough Speaker Series presentation. Gallucci has extensive experience in national security, including nuclear crises, and has held a variety of senior positions in academia, the U.S. State Department and the United Nations. He is a distinguished professor of diplomacy in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

What: Gallucci will speak from his multifaceted career in foreign affairs and public service, including years of leading negotiations with North Korea. He will discuss how the theory of deterrence for security purposes has new complexities.
