Committee starts the search for new CMS AD
In his State of the Lab talk last week, Director Bruce Tarter announced
that Jeff Wadsworth, deputy director for Science and Technology, will
chair the screening committee to seek and review candidates for the associate
director for Chemistry and Materials Science.
Hal Graboske, the current CMS AD, announced his resignation last week.
Graboske will remain AD until the search and selection for his successor
is complete.
The Screening Committee members are: Mike Colvin (Biology and Biotechnology
Research Program); Glenn Fox, Gil Gallegos, Judy Kammeraad, Andrew Quong,
and Charlie Westbrook (Chemistry and Materials Science); Steve Ashby (Computation);
Elaine Chandler (Defense and Nuclear Technologies), Norm Burkhard (Energy
and Environment); Glenn Mara (Engineering); Warren Hsing (NIF Programs);
Melanie Elder (Nonproliferation, Arms Control, and International Security);
Andy McMahan (Physics and Advanced Technoloiges); and Laura Gilliom (University
Relations Program).
The committee has already met and Wadsworth hopes to complete the screening
process as expeditiously as possible.
