Kennedy Reed awarded AAAS fellow in Washington, D.C.
Reed was recognized for important studies in atomic theory, and for many successful efforts to increase minority participation in the physical sciences in the United States and Africa.
Election as a fellow is an honor bestowed upon AAAS members by their peers to recognize distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications. This year, 503 members were awarded this honor by AAAS because of their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.
