Who: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) scientists Brad Hart, Deon Anex and Katelyn Mason, along with teacher Katherine Huang, who teaches classes in anatomy, physiology and biotechnology at Dougherty Valley High School, will present "Forensic Science in Crisis: How Proteins Can Help," the first lecture in the 2017 Science on Saturday series. The series' theme is "Ingenious Inventions."
What: This informative and entertaining lecture will focus on the challenges of traditional forensic methods, which have come under increasing criticism by the scientific community, and showcases the work going on at Lawrence Livermore's Forensic Science Center (FSC) to address some of those challenges.
When: Saturday, Feb. 4
Session I: 9:30 a.m.
Session II: 11:15 a.m. (same content as Session I)
Where: Bankhead Theater, 2400 First St., Livermore.
