We have an opening for a Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team. As a Technical Recruiter, you will be a strategic trusted partner to the business who is passionate about our mission and innovative in identifying top talent. Our ideal team member is a problem-solver, a people-connector, and a relationship-builder who will have a high degree of autonomy to source and engage top scientific talent.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level
In this role you will:
Source and present top talent through a variety of creative channels; conduct in-depth phone screens, assessing candidates evaluating skill level, driving offer process, including salary recommendations, and closing of candidates’ while maintaining a positive focus on experience throughout the process.
Lead the day-to-day implementation of new/revised recruitment programs and develop and conduct training sessions and information workshops on a variety of recruitment topics; provide program design input and implementation with systems, e.g., ATS/CRM.
Customer focused with consistent communication regarding recruiting efforts, diversity initiatives, and market related compensation by providing status updates to all stakeholders through workforce planning meetings, email updates, and reports.
Assure compliance with Federal and State regulations and Laboratory policies on recruitment and employment activities.
Own mechanisms/reports for identifying and engaging talent and reporting ROI for in-house tools, public events, and conferences
Participate in virtual and onsite career events, which may require travel.
Manage the recruiting process through SmartRecruiters and ensure data integrity
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional job responsibilities, at the H03.3 level
- Serve as a knowledge leader on complex and challenging recruiting trends, searches, and methodologies.
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Experience consulting, developing, and implementing recruitment strategies, marketing plans and customized campaigns while assuring compliance of organizational policies and federal and state regulations.
Proven track record of delivering results while managing multiple open roles with minimal supervision in an often fluid and ambiguous environment
Experience with creating complex diverse search strategies utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and developing data analysis/metrics reports and presentations.
Advanced verbal/written communication, excellent customer service, negotiating skills and the ability to effectively explain, advise and influence potential applicants and internal customers.
Ability to travel as required.

- Experience with creating complex diverse search strategies utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and developing data analysis/metrics reports and presentations.

LLNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Laboratory. Some positions will require a DOE L or Q clearance (please reference Security Clearance requirement above).
